Positioned on a riverside bluff in the mountainous area around Ubud, Villa Bali Gita shares the panoramas of some of the world's most exclusive boutique resorts matching all in luxury, peerless in privacy while affording all of the financial advantages of private rental.

Located in a rural setting near a small Balinese village, the estate is comprised of a variety of facilities and buildings roofed in alang-alang (thatch). Two of these buildings contain four bedrooms, while another houses the dining room and kitchen. Two bales (Balinese gazebos) function as living and sitting rooms on the eastern and southern sides of the estate. Subtle landscaping masks the fifth bedroom and a private movie theatre on which these bales sit atop. Distractions are catered for with the tennis court and billiard room.

Upon entering the estate, the driveway meanders down the hill, across a small bridge and jungle stream before ascending to the main section of the estate. An Astroturfed tennis court lies to one side and is bordered by a lumbung (elevated pavilion) that provides shade and a small bar for spectators and players. The court area has floodlighting, as evening is a favorite time for play at Bali-Gita.

A thatched gateway opens into a paved courtyard with fountain containing the highlighted ruins of the original mud-walled farmhouse. Continuing, one passes through another gateway and alongside a large pond to the body of the estate.

Villa Bali Gita is proximate to Ubud, Asia's art capital, renowned for it's artists, art galleries, palaces, temples, restaurants, and expatriate celebrities. By day abustle with tourist buses, sightseers and shoppers, the village changes character as night falls. Once more the dreamy hamlet of soft lighting, light traffic and temple goers in their finest robes. Cozy street side eateries attend a laid back café set who linger long creating and absorbing an ambiance of leisurely conversation, music, tall stories and an era elsewhere long gone.
